About the outcome

Our aim is to provide women with resources to protect themselves, engage the community in protecting each other, and encourage administration to create a safe campus environment by gathering survey data, providing resources through a tabling campaign, and developing a toolkit for administration to address student safety concerns.


About the team

George Cowley is a 3rd year undergraduate student studying History secondary education with a minor in German. He is passionate about providing the resources and the awareness of women's safety on campus, and pursuing the goal of reaching maximum assurance for the safety of women on campus. 

Jamie Maertens is a 3rd year undergraduate student pursuing dual degrees in sustainability and mathematics. She is passionate about equity, justice, and the environment. She believes that every student should feel safe on campus so that they can best focus on their education.

Kathy Choi is a first year undergraduate student studying earth and environmental studies with a minor in sustainability. She is passionate about environmental sustainability along with women’s activism and equality. She remains spirited to find functioning and easily accessible solutions to increase campus security specifically for the women on campus.

Rylie Seidl is a second year PhD student in Transborder Studies. Her research interests include critical refugee studies, critical health geography, and carceral studies. She is passionate about decolonial approaches to security and wellbeing.
