About the outcome

We are addressing the inaccessibility factors that students of lower income communities are facing when it comes to having the necessary tools to exceling in school such as free public access to Wi-Fi, laptops or tables for each student. It can be identified as an environmental issue due to the fact lower income communities are not provided with the same resources as other communities and therefore creates a barrier for these students to pursue higher education. We are addressing the problem by providing the resources that lower income communities are not being given. We are finding accessibility through grants to be able to provide materials that allow these students access to the opportunity to pursue higher education or even just complete their education at the high school level. This is a humanitarian effort across the board by allowing all students to be giving the same opportunities that are not income based.

About the team

Paul, a business student at W.P Carey in his junior year, tied to his work ethics and always looking for ways to give back to the low income community he grew up in.
