This Humanities Lab focuses on research requested by the U.S. Embassy in Brasilia, Brazil, as part of the U.S. State Department’s Diplomacy Lab. Our task, working collaboratively, is to investigate current climate change challenges for Brazil that specifically effect marginalized urban communities (ex. democracy, human rights, health, energy security, economic policy, and conflict). Students will present their results and recommendations to the U.S. Embassy in Brazil (virtually). Students may participate in two unique, optional experiences: 1) a faculty-led spring break study abroad to Brasilia, Brazil, and 2) a possible trip to the U.S. Diplomacy Lab Fair in Washington, D.C.
