Showcasing the semester's outcomes

The Humanities Lab and Seize the Moment Impact Outcomes Showcase is a public outcomes event celebrating the dynamic, interdisciplinary work of the Humanities Lab and Leonardo as part of the Seize the Moment initiative at Arizona State University. The event highlights the Spring '22 semester's Seed Grants, Amplifier Mini-Grants, and Beyond the Lab Fellowship awardees alongside their transformative outcomes.

Working in interdisciplinary teams, students and faculty have been organizing panels and public events, producing podcasts and videos, and developing a range of impact outcomes that address grand social challenges in our global community. This celebration is a chance for student-led teams and faculty to publicly share the fruits of their efforts as part of the Global Futures Laboratory Earth Week.

The 2022 Spring semester showcase will be held on April 20th from 3:30 - 5:00pm in the atrium of ISTB7.

Hope to see you there!

Participating in the showcase

Are you a student who's currently taking a Humanities Lab or Leonardo Lab course? The Humanities Lab and Seize the Moment Awardee Showcase is a fun and easy way to connect with students from other Labs, celebrate the end of the semester, and share your outcome with a larger audience.

As this is intended to be a dynamic, fun, and informative event, you can share or present your outcome at your table however you want, however you choose. Examples include:

  • Posters, flyers, and presentations: Explaining the journey, significance, or impact of your outcome in whatever form you'd like.
  • Readings and discussions: Sharing and discussing a short passage or quote from something you've read over the course of the semester.
  • Journalism: Presenting a short report or conducting an interview.
  • Performances and art: Reading a journal entry, poem, or short story; sharing a picture or drawing; staging a dance or theatre performance; playing a song; telling a story; so on and so forth.

Be creative! The world is your oyster.

If you have any questions or would like to explore ideas about sharing your outcome at the event, contact Seize the Moment Initiative Coordinator Bri Noonan at 480.965.4262 or blnoonan@asurite.asu.edu.
